Why
wedding photojournalism?
I truly believe photojournalism
best captures the natural essence of your wedding day. As they
say, a picture is worth a thousand words, and I try to capture
as much of what is going on as possible. All to often
the bride and groom are so preoccupied with the wedding,
guests, and formalities that they really aren't able to take
in everything that is going on at the ceremony. That is
where a good photojournalist steps in. I make sure that
viewing your pictures gives you a clear picture of how the day
progressed and ultimately ended.

How
long have you been working as a professional photographer?
I've been working 8 years as a
professional
photographer. Photography is not a living for me its a passion.

What
camera equipment do you use?
I use the "Industry
Standard Pro Grade Equipment"
Nikon D700 / Fuji S5 / Fuji S2. The Fuji S5
& S2 Pro works well with portrait
type posed photography and and the Nikon D700 is an excellent photojournalism
camera. Both the color and depth in photographs developed from
the Fuji S5 & S2 Pro are phenomenal, my work speaks for it's self.
Medium format negatives used to be necessary for decent
enlargements, but not anymore. Digital technology has
progressed to the point that just about any size of
enlargement is possible from it.

What
do you do if your camera malfunctions?
I go to my backup equipment
which includes 3 camera bodies, 4 lenses, 2 flashes and a
number of camera accessories.

What
happens if you can't make it to my wedding? If you become sick
or have an accident?
Professional Wedding
Photographers, while highly competitive, are still
professional. In the case of an accident or illness, we fill
in for each other. While it has never happened to me, I have
filled in for others and so have a lot of my friends and
colleagues. If something should happen to me, the word goes
out and we all try to fill in for at least a portion of a
wedding. You might have as many as two photographers come and
go taking pictures for part of your wedding, but we will not
let you get married without professional pictures being taken.
That's what the term "professional photographer"
really means. We compete, but most of us try to ensure that
the profession maintains a very high standard.

Do
you do your own film and print processing?
No. I am a professional
photographer and I leave my film and print processing to
professional labs.

Do
you do black and white photography?
With today's digital
technology, any image I shoot can be converted to black and
white.

How
soon after the wedding do I see my previews?
Your online previews will be
ready in about two weeks following the wedding. The
proofs will follow shortly there after.

What
are Internet previews?
They are a great way to share
your wedding memories with family and friends. They will be
posted on our password protected site. There, everyone
can view copies of your wedding images.

Are
your "Collections" customizable?
Yes. You may add or subtract
any item, including hours, and the cost will adjust
accordingly.

How
many photographs will you take at my wedding?
I don't count shots. I just
shoot everything I think you will enjoy seeing and that is a
lot. The actual amount depends on various things such as the
amount of time I'm with you. Others are how active you are and
what is going on around you. On average, we'll take about
350-450 photographs for a 4 hour wedding.

What is your Policy
on returns?
There shall be no refunds of pre-paid credit or ala carte
items. Substitutions are welcome. The client
understands that albums and photographic reprints are custom
products, and therefore cannot be returned for any reason.
Every effort will be made to replace pictures with quality
issues such as: scratches, tears, stains, or any other
physically damage. These issues are to be discussed at the
time of delivery of the final product. Once the couple
accepts delivery, the product is assumed in acceptable
condition. The couple also understands that because these
are custom products, time of completion will vary depending
on order and product availability.
